March 2: Dr. Seuss Birthday Party, 4-6 p.m., Bass Lake Public/Private Library.

March 10: Spring ahead/look back.

March 16: Annual “Pancake Extravaganza” and inaugural “Sap Walk.”

March 22: “Republican Bingo Party,” 5-8 p.m., St. Methodist Catholic Church; entry fee, $11.45; prizes awarded. Remaining proceeds go toward G.O.P. initiatives and fish-fry supplies.

March 25: Townwide twig-collection begins. For additional information, consult Bass Lake’s government Facebook or ask a neighbor.

March 29: “Get Yer Plow Out Of The Machine Shed Day.” Various locations.
