Dec. 8: Prep basketball/postgame social: Bass Lake Canoes vs. Steepwater Perch, 7 p.m., followed by pre-winter dance-ball, 45 minutes after game.
Dec. 9: “Christmas In/Around Bass Lake,” 2:45-9 p.m., uptown and beyond. Highlights include cider and ceremonial  lighting of Christmas tree, 6 p.m., Gerald Fjord.
Dec. 16: “Shop With a Cop.”
Dec. 24: Community Christmas Eve services, various sites, including St. Methodist Catholic Church.
Dec. 31: “New Year’s Semi-Rockin’ Eve,” 7 p.m.-midnight, Funky’s on the Bayou. Featuring food specials, live music and possible incorrigibility. Featured acts include Local Cover Band (partial reunion); Flaming Globes of Sigmund; Whores With No Name; Papa “Bass” Elliot.
