Jan. 13: Boys’ high school prep basketball: Bass Lake Canoes host Hogback Lake in a Moonshine Conference cager-tilt, 7:30 p.m. (Young-Lady Canoes girls’ game time/site TBD).
Jan. 15: “Ides of January” party, Funky’s on the Bayou; special drink specials available; live music non-confirmable.
Jan. 17: Bass Lake Town Council meeting, featuring State of the Town Address by recently confirmed elected mayor Forrest Bunkard. (moved from normal 3rd Monday meeting date, in observance of MLK Jr. Day, also a postal holiday).
Jan. 28-29: Bass Lake “Icefest,” (formerly “IceFest”), various hours, Gerald Fjord; highlights include ice-fishing contest, competitive skating and other. Special presentation by Beijing Bait and Tackle dancers.
