Bass Lake’s annual fall post-summer yard-waste collection effort will take place 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday. Not before, and not after.

Only summertime yard waste is accepted, according to Bass Lake Utilities and Garbage Collection.

“Put the stuff out front so we can get it without a big hassle,” said Gram “Granny” Glenkins, assistant to the vice-supervisor of BLUGC’s clean-up and yard-junk subdivision.

Acceptable items include dead flowers, grass clippings (non-ridiculous amounts only, please), stray leftover over-winter leaves and sticks and stones.

As policy, the department requests no non-working lawn mowers, mangled deck chairs or snapped-in-half golf clubs.
