Monthly planner for the Bass Lake contiguous area, September 2016:
Sept. 5: “Labor Day Day,” hosted by town council member Enos Felger, D-Dave’s House, 3 p.m., Dave’s House. BYO union rep.
Sept. 16: Bass Lake High School homecoming; parade begins at 5:30 p.m. on Main Street Avenue. Football game at 7 p.m., vs. South Michiana Musclecars; crowning of queen and (possibly) king at halftime. After-game dance, mainly for sociable students (and school district-appointed chaperones).
Sept. 10: Annual “Harvest Dinner,” 6:30 p.m., Bass Lake Inn-Convenience.
Sept. 19: Bass Lake Town Council meeting, 7 p.m. Agenda focus: Snow-removal/ medication take-back program.
Sept. 26-29: Post-summer brush collection, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Summertime yard waste only, according to Bass Lake Utilities and Garbage Collection.
