What time is it? 1040 you say? Time to get your ducks in a row and hide them under the back porch.
What time is it? 1040 you say? Time to get your ducks in a row and hide them under the back porch.
That’s the advice local tax expert Ned Levelcut will offer at his annual tax seminar.
Levelcut is calling this year’s strategy session “Nothing from Nothing: How to Conceal Your Income and Pay What You Deserve.”
Drawing on nearly three years of income tax filing expertise, Levelcut promises to take a “balanced” approach when helping individuals with the pesky form 1040.
“It’s all about hiding your slice of the pie,” Levelcut said. “What they don’t know can’t help them. When you deduct, round up. When you count your winnings, don’t count them. It’s all very simple.”
Levelcut follows his own advice. As the owner of several local businesses, including but not limited to Ned Levelcut Lawn Mower and String Trimmer Repair and Tax Return Preparation and Dock Installation and Removal and Residential Snow Removal Services, LLC., Levelcut knows a thing or two about success.
“So far last year I made absolutely nothing,” Levelcut said while filling in his 2015 return during a free public demonstration at the town Rhombus. “At least as far as I can remember.”
The “Nothing from Nothing” seminar begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, February 6 at Bass Lake Inn-Convenience. Free Jolly’s donuts and coffee will be provided by owner Clem Brickston for a small donation to his 2013 audit fund.
