Dispatch received a call about a suspicious sounding suitcase. An officer was dispatched to 15 Industrial Cul-De-Sac where he located a suitcase near a rear entrance to a factory at the address he was at. The officer said the suitcase sounded suspicious and described the sound as “unlike most sounds made by suitcases.” The factory was evacuated and the Special Luggage Unit was brought in to investigate. The SLU team determined a raccoon was inside the suitcase. The dispatched officer learned that a maintenance man at the factory had trapped the raccoon to keep as a pet. The raccoon was questioned and released. No charges were filed.
