Tug McNabb, chief of Bass Lake Authority Police, reports that on 02/25/2022 at 8:38 p.m., officers from the department conducted a traffic stop on the 600 block of Main Street Avenue in Bass Lake. The driver, a 41-year-old man of Bass Lake, was found to have been operating the vehicle with no license. Officers, through further investigation, were able to locate fictitious state identification cards from three different states in the United States, as well as (but not limited to) tools used for counterfeiting bills, blank business checks and several counterfeited checks. The suspect was arrested and currently is lodged temporarily at the jail awaiting arraignment on approximately 39 felony charges. The case remains under investigation and the investigation will continue until it is complete.
