Bass Lake Cemetery and Frisbee Golf Center is taking advantage of clement weather predictions to host its Spring Frisbee Golf Tournament two months and more in advance.

Normally held each year during or shortly after the Spring Equinox, tournament organizers are “getting” a jump on things as temps climb well above seasonal norms.

Davy “Digger” Jones, manager of the burial ground/disc golf course, said now is the time.

“I see no point in waiting for the spring snows,” Jones said. “Besides, with hardly anyone dying recently, expect poor old Charlotte Garfield, there’s not much doings on the course. I think we can get in a full four-round tournament before the backhoe shows up on Monday.”

First round action gets underway at noon today. There is a $5 entry fee. Registration forms are available at Jolly’s Morgue & Donut and the cemetery box office.
