A one-vehicle crash reared its ugly head sometime during the late-afternoon hours Thursday out on Out-on-the-Highway Road.

The driver, mis-identified as 31-year-old Scampy Fenkins, escaped minor injury, and managed to walk away, prior to hitchhiking home.

The vehicle is considered a “total loss,” according to Regional Highway Control.

Nobody else was involved at the scene, other than an ambulance and 15 members of seven fire departments on standby.

Further details were available, but the Beacon chose to ignore almost all of them, for the sake of brevity.
