Hours have been extended. Group rates may apply.

Several area haunted house attractions have extended their hours of operation and trick-or-treat hours have swelled as well.

The Jolly’s Morgue and Donuts haunt, dubbed “Crullering Toward Oblivion,” will now be open on Friday and Saturday night instead of just Wednesday afternoon. It will still be open on Wednesday afternoon but now it will be open on Friday and Saturday nights also. That means more body tray rides for the kiddies and cream-filled yummies for mom and dad.

Bass Lake Cemetery and Frisbee Golf Center has added a third day of competition for its annual “Open Grave Open,” as the number of donations to the Bass Lake University forensics lab have increased of late.

Smunson’s Revenge, at the old Smunson place on Out-on-the-Highway Road, will now take reservations for the popular “Kill a Friend” night through Thanksgiving. Call Old Man Smunson for more details.

Bass Lake Community Haunted House, in conjunction with the Bass Lake German Society’s Geisterhaus von Bier, Stasi und Strudel, will host “Together in Fear” at the Bass Lake Inn-Convenience Store party room from noon to midnight. Crawlspace tours, stein carrying contests and random abductions will highlight the days’ events.

Trick-or-Treat hours throughout Bass Lake have been increased from Halloween morning at 10 to 24/7 now through election day, which is Nov. 4. No adults will be allowed to tag along as their children trick-or-treat, as per Town Rule 252, which states “No adults will be allowed tag along as their children trick-or-treat, as per Town Rule 252, which states….”
