A kitchen-sink garbage disposal was stolen recently from a winter rental cabin on Bass Lake.

The resident told Bass Lake Police Authority that the device went missing sometime while he was taking a shower.

Police said there was no evidence of forced-entry to the home, and no injuries were reported. A Bass Lake Beacon investigation, however, indicates the under-sink cabinet was left in almost complete disarray.

The disposal is described as a 1997 Clarkman model, manufactured by Kramerica Industries. Police are asking the public for assistance in locating the object, which may have sustained front-end damage.

The cabin’s landwoman, who is wintering down South, has begun eviction proceedings against the tenant for “bathtime negligence,” according to official court documents.
