Bass Lake University football coach Flip Alabama has resigned, effective immediately.

Alabama, who turned 47 last February, made the announcement early today via Twitter.

“I quit. I’m sick of it — sick of it, I tell you #ScrewThisS***,” he tweeted.

Bass Lake Beaver finished the 2013 season 4-7, losing every sparsely-attended home game.

Alabama compiled a 13-31 record in four seasons at BLU. His last victory came Oct. 19 at Indiana University-Purdue University-Traverse City (IUPUTV).

Sources within earshot of the football program say the Regents had pressured Alabama to resign. The Regents, Jeff and Linda, reside on Sixth Street.

Alabama’s annual salary was $94.6 thousand.

Jean-Paul Kierkegaard, senior professor of philosophy at BLU, has been named interim coach.
