Oct. 10: Townwide leaf pick-up period begins; watch The Beacon for additional details; start raking!
Oct. 14: High school football, Bass Lake Canoes at Nearbytown Birds-of-Prey, regular-season finale and Awaycoming; fan bus leaves from BLHS at 6 p.m.; $20, cost covers gas and one bag of popcorn.
Oct. 15: Harvest festival/corn-picker-pull/color-tour, noon-8 p.m., Granary Row.
Oct. 27-29Haunted Gallows, hosted by brothers Wheezeclamp, Twin Nut Farms; no open-toed shoes allowed.
Oct. 30: National Beer Take-Back Day, 2-4:45 p.m., take unused alcoholic beverages to local drop-off points; unopened containers only; sponsored by Bass Lake Merchants Association and Regional Corporate Police.
