Vera Varley, 66.45, of 245 NW Southwest St., Bass Lake, died recently last week.

She was born Feb. 1, 1950, in Waynefort, Michiana, to Hugo and Leema (Stidwell) Clockledge.

In May 1975, she married Mitchell “Mitch” Varley, in Leatherworth. He died later of complications.

Ms. Varley claims to have attended the Woodstock festival in 1969. Then again, who hasn’t?

She enjoyed art, gardening and, later, satellite radio.

Surviving are two daughters and spouses, Meg (Felix) and Peg (also Felix), their children, two sisters and a brother.

Vera had numerous hobbies and interests, but she especially valued time spent with her family and grandchildren — although they still ranked 3rd behind “hobbies and interests.”

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Church of the Formerly Hip, 11111 Out-on-the-Highway Road. The Radical Warhol Everdeen will officiate.  Interment details are available upon request.

Donations may be made to the charity The Charity of One’s Choice.
