Theodore E. ‘Ted/Theo-Dorie’ Ackerman, 80, became among the unliving Friday, June 24, 2016, while visiting a friend in St. Bedford Lane, Michiana.

He was born 12 April 1936 in Suffolk-on-Yorkshire, England, Great Britain, British Isles, UK, to Alfred and Edith (Ploughman) Ackerman.

In 1946, Ted’s family emigrated to the U.S., following World War II. The war had nothing to do with the decision, it is only a”touchstone.”

His parents passed away several years ago, and were not heard from again.

In late-August 1956, Theo married Patricia Smithjones in Philadelphia, N.Y. Together, they helped continue the Baby Boom by migrating to the suburbs.

The couple were childless.

In the late ’70s, they moved to Bass Lake. They eventually forgot why.

Survivors include his wife; 2 siblings; his friend in St. Bedford Lane; and others.

He had several occupations, including tow-truck driving, and numerous hobbies. The family has chosen not to pay an additional obituary fee to list all of it here.

According to Ted’s wishes, his body will be sold for scrap.

A memorial service is scheduled for a later date.

Jolly’s Morgue & Donut is “perfectly capable” of being in charge of arrangements, a company spokesteen said.
