High school football: Bass Lake falls, 35-6; coach calls it a ‘fluke’

BLHS canoes helmet cutoutBass Lake Canoes fell to 0-3 Friday with a 35-6 loss to the Prepschool Prepsters in high school football action.

Prepschool bolted to a 28-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Many of the Prepster starters rested most of the second half.

Canoes head coach Zeb Dreppelin described the road defeat as “pretty much a fluke.”

“Honestly, I think we were better than they were,”  Dreppelin said. “And you should, too.”

Bass Lake’s “player of the game” honor was given to No. 30, who piled up 73 all-purpose yards.
