Bass Lake vegan grocer Veganomicus, out on Out-on-the-Highway Road, has announced it will add a section of meat and dairy products in late 2014.

“We continue our commitment to provide the highest quality vegan selection in the Bass Lake area,” said daytime manager Kale Ovo-Lacto. “But we also must adapt to the needs of our clientele and their clientele-adaptive needs.”

The transition, Ovo-Lacto said, should not be viewed as “lambs to the slaughter.”

“We embrace the expansion of services and hope our customers milk it to their advantage,” the daytime manager said.

Additional plans to add a bait shop were put on the back-burner.
